Condé Nast Traveler:
Young Women Everywhere - Don't Be Afraid to Travel

Project type: Article

An article born from a fortuitous messaging relationship between me and then editor-in-chief of Condé Nast Traveler was published shortly after the 2016 US election in the last year of my undergraduate degree.

Editor’s Note:

“We received a Facebook message back in March, unprompted, from a very eloquent college senior named Teresa Velasco, who had just read our latest issue on the importance of travel in the face of fear and terror. We were moved by her words then—and once again, when she wrote us yesterday following the surprising results of the U.S. presidential election. We'd like to share her message with you here, with the hope that this smart, motivated young woman inspires and reminds you of the bright future our country has.”
